Femmes et Science


Promote the image of the science at the women and the image of the women in the sciences and incite the girls to make a commitment in scientific and technical careers.




WiT was founded in 1997 with the support of just 10 women. The association has now grown to over 5500 members and affiliates with sponsorship from organisations such as University of Queensland, Origin Energy, Queensland Government, QUT, Griffith University and others. In 2002 the association changed its name to Women in Technology; recognising the relationship between IT and emerging technology fields such as science and engineering.

For Women in Science encourages the vocations of girls in high school, supports women in research, and recognizes excellence in a field where women are underrepresented.

HTMlles : Feminist Festival of Media Arts + Digital Culture


Taking place in Montreal, The HTMlles is an international biennial festival that brings together local and international artists, scholars, and activists who are passionate about critical engagement with new technologies from feminist perspectives. Based on a specific theme, each edition explores urgent socio-political questions through a series of exhibitions, conferences, performances and workshops.The HTMlles is produced by Studio XX, a bilingual, feminist artist-run centre for technological exploration, creation, and critique, founded in 1996. The 12th edition of the festival will coincide with the 20th anniversary of Studio XX!
